axiz high-potential development programme

Axiz launched this year-long, high-performance development programme for selected PDI candidates that aims to accelerate development and involves a personal coach or mentor, as well as on-the-job training. The programme is designed to address and uplift the current and future leadership and managerial effectiveness within Axiz. It focuses on increasing the efficiency of people management to directly affect the overall productivity and focus of all employees within the organisation. The interventions facilitate effective transformation, enabling the candidates to develop appropriate and more effective leadership and managerial competencies and a common understanding of leadership and management within the organisation.

axiz ithuba learnership

The one-year Axiz Ithuba Learnership programme is fully endorsed and supported by the ISETT SETA. Ithuba is a Xhosa word for “opportunity”.

The learnership involves the provision of training and workplace experience in alternating periods. The Axiz Ithuba learners receive two months of training followed by two months in the working environment on a rotational basis. In total, they spend 120 days in training and 115 days in the workplace. The learners benefit by being afforded the opportunity to learn about the corporate environment and gain experience in a real working situation.

The Axiz Ithuba learners pursue an NQF Level 5 qualification known as the National Certificate in Information Technology: Systems Support Engineering. Axiz serves as the lead employment provider, while IT Intellect serves as the lead training provider and project manager.

A learnership is a vocational education and training programme that combines theory and practice. It culminates in a qualification that is recognised nation-wide and is registered on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF). A learner who successfully completes a learnership has a qualification that demonstrates occupational competence in their chosen field of endeavour.
